Il libro inizia quando sono passati ottanta anni dall'ultima catastrofica guerra con gli Scorpioni, alieni su cui viene detto ben poco, e non c'è una data che indichi in quale futuro si svolga la storia. Protagonista indiscusso è il piccolo Ender, soprannome di Andrew Wiggin, che a soli sei anni viene prelevato dalla famiglia per essere trasferito alla rigidissima Scuola di Guerra allo scopo di farlo comandante della flotta terrestre per difendere l'umanità dall'imminente Terza Invasione.Chi ha comprato il libro su Amazon e lo ha letto ha lasciato commenti positivi. Personalemte ancora non l'ho acquistato ma sicuramente, prima di andarmi a vedere il film, cercherò di recuperare il tempo perduto (sempre...tempo permettendo). Se qualcuno di voi lo ha già letto sono graditi commenti e/o recensioni.
Trama
Gli alieni hanno attaccato due volte la Terra e hanno quasi distrutto la specie umana. Per assicurarsi la vittoria nel successivo scontro di questa guerra, il governo del mondo ha deciso di creare una razza di geni militari, di allevare bambini al di fuori del mondo normale e istruirli nelle arti marziali tramite una serie di "giochi di guerra" e di combattimenti simulati, basati sull'uso del computer. Ender Wiggin è un genio tra i geni: nato con le doti di un superbo comandante e condottiero di uomini, viene forzato a una precoce maturità attraverso un addestramento continuo e pressante. Toccherà a lui, unico a vincere tutti i "giochi", assumere il comando delle forze terrestri e la salvezza del genere umano sarà nelle sue mani...
